If you use Kunaki for physical information products, you may have noticed this text on the upload screen: “This upload automatically resumes from disconnects, errors, and even reboots. It may take a long time to send your product to our facility, but it will not fail.”
It’s true but only if you know how to do it. I’ve had some power outage issues lately. When I relaunched the publishing software I didn’t know what to do so I started from scratch and that is very annoying when you’re uploading a DVD. It takes forever to begin with so starting over is frustrating.
Finally I just asked Kunaki customer support why the upload wasn’t reconnecting from the point at which it left off. The solution was simple. All you have to do is double click on the .exe file you created for the product. That launches the publishing software and it really does start uploading from the point of the power outage. Yet another reason to use Kunaki.

Hi I am currently trying to load some DVDs to Kanaki, “hooooooooooooooow lonnnnnnng doooooooes thissssss takeeeee” now I know upload is not the same as download but this is taking forever. 17 hours later on the fastest non commercial ADSL in Australia and its only at 39%!!
Any suggestions?
[George,
I feel your pain. It has taken 24 hours or more for me to load a few things. All I can see is to just be patient and let it run. And if you're power goes out temporarily, don't worry about it. This happened to me several times once. Just double-click on the upload file and somehow kunaki knows where it left off. It's magic! Or over my head.at least.
