If you’ve been online for very long, you’ve probably heard of Ed Dale. He and Frank Kern are well-known for their Underachiever Formula. Well I just got a message from Tommy this morning with a link to a video Ed Dale created earlier today.
Ed is using Search Engine Trust in conjunction with Squidoo to rank in the top 10 for a highly competitive search term in 48 hours. He proves it in this 10 minute video. Ed is a smart marketer so of course he’s promoting Search Engine Trust through his affiliate link and also promoting his own membership site called Immediate Edge. That’s only fair. He’s in business to make money and he provides proof that his system works.
I’ve never met Ed in person but about a year ago he gave out his Skype address and invited anyone to Skype him for a free consultation so of course I took him up on it. He answered his Skype and spent about 30 minutes with me so the fact that he is willing to freely give his time when he could easily charge $1,000 or more in consulting fees says something about him.
I want to make it clear that I have not repeated this success. After all I just saw the video an hour ago but as far as I know Ed is a stand up guy and Tommy asked me to pass this video along because it promotes his Search Engine Trust program. So you can watch it and make your own decision. Fair enough?
Here’s the link to the video: Top 10 Ranking in 48 Hours?

Hey Robert,
Seems to me that Search Engine Trust is like a big network of content sites, and for a mere $247 a month they’ll let you post article snippets to get links back to your website.
I’m sure this works, but isn’t it better to build your own network of content sites - maybe not thousands, but a couple of dozen Munius sites, perhaps? Over time, you should get to the point where you can sell your traffic just like Search Engine Trust does.
Hi Derrick -
Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment I appreciate it.
Of course it would be better to build your own network of sites so that you’re in control and you can sell the traffic but that takes effort and many people aren’t willing to put forth that kind of effort. For some people it’s just easier to pay someone else to do all the work.
Search Engine Trust is a big network of high PR themed WordPress blogs. And you can post article snippets with keyword anchor text on them. I don’t promote anything other than my own products and products that I actually use on this blog. I do use Search Engine Trust and I happen to know Nick & Tommy who created Search Engine Trust.
I am also familiar with Ed Dale. I have never met any of these three in person but I’ve spoken to all three of them live either on the phone or through Skype so I tend to trust them more than I would a stranger.
With all they hype and BS you see online everyday it’s hard to believe most of it. But not only did Ed claim to have a squidoo lense ranked in the top 10 within 48 hours, he acutally showed it on the screen so it’s hard to deny it. And considering the value of a top 10 ranking for a competitive keyword in terms of traffic assuming you can effectively monetize the traffic, $247 per month would be a bargain. Anyone who can’t make more than $247 per month using Search Engine Trust shouldn’t be a member. Anyone who could make more than $247 per month should consider it. In the end, it’s really a personal decision.
