The Millionaire Mindset

Successful, wealthy people think differently than those who follow the herd. Most people follow the herd and fall for the conventional wisdom that says you should go to college so you can get a good job, advance in your career, and retire at 65. I fell for that nonsense myself for awhile. I went to college and got a job and it sucked. I know that’s not the politically correct way to put it but that’s the truth.

Still I spent 10 years in corporate America before I had the guts to call it quits. It’s not easy. After all “everyone else” is doing it so it’s easiest to follow the herd and do what everyone else does. You’ll probably get a lot of resistance from the sheeple who will think you are crazy. That’s what happened to me at first but my family and friends finally figured out they were wasting their time so they stopped after a while.

When I started hanging out with other entrepreneurial people and reading about successful people, a few things stuck out about they way they think and over time I was able to change my way of thinking. Here are a few of the differences I see in the way wealthy, successful people think versus the way “sheeple” think.

Millionaire Mindset Sheeple (non)Sense
Attitudes Abundance Scarcity
Beliefs Empowering Limiting
Dominant Thought How CAN I? Why CAN’T I?
Focus Solutions Problems

Do you think like a millionaire or a sheeple?  And I don’t mean to impose any limiting beliefs on you either.  If you’re aspirations are higher than “millionaire” that’s great.  Just change “Millionaire Mindset” to “Billionaire Mindset” or whatever you need to change it to.
