There have been a few posts in this blog over the past several weeks about modeling success. You find someone who has achieved the level of success you desire and you “model” their actions and behaviors. It’s only a matter of time before you achieve a similar level of success.
Did you think I was just blowing hot air? Not by a longshot. I’m constantly modeling successful people either by reading books about them or by searching them out and modeling them. For example, James Brausch has an intern program. Hmmm…he’s achieved a level of success that I will achieve soon but haven’t yet. And he’s offering to teach people how he runs his business in exchange for actually performing the everyday tasks. What better way to learn how to run a successful Internet business than by actually doing it? What kind of moron wouldn’t take advantage of that kind of offer? Someone who’s not serious about making money online, that’s who.
So I’ve been an intern for almost a month and I’ve learned several things. I’ve helped drive traffic to James’ sites and when I was done I did the same things to drive traffic to my sites and I had more visitors last week than ever before so obviously these tactics work. It’s not magic. It takes time & effort, but the results speak for themselves.
James just made a post on his blog that he’s considering splitting the intern program and asked for feedback. Considering I am an intern I feel qualified to provide feedback. I think that’s a good idea.
Product + Traffic + Copywriting = Successful Internet Business
I don’t have any problems creating products. I just created another one today and I have lots of ideas. I don’t claim to be a great copywriter but I don’t have any problems writing sales letters especially with Glyphius. And they convert visitors into customers because I make sales. The missing link is traffic. I get traffic but I haven’t quite cracked the code on driving massive amounts of traffic to my sites and that was my biggest motivation for joining the intern program.
So given the choice, I would drop the product and copywriting and focus on the traffic. Not that I mind helping with the other two but I’m most interested in traffic generation. That’s my two cents.
