Words can have different meanings to different people and apparently deadline is one of those words. To me a deadline is a very specific point in time. In this particular case, I was offering my Artemis Pro external list to anyone who took me up on my offer BEFORE 12:00 PM September 12, 2007 (MST which is GMT -7).
The deadline was clearly stated in the offer. That means if you ordered at 11:59:59 AM MST, you clearly ordered before the deadline and you have every right to expect to receive the special offer. And if you ordered at any time after 12:00:00 PM MST September 12, 2007, you clearly missed the deadline and any expectation that you should receive the special offer is ludicrous. It’s black and white. There is no gray area whatsoever. You either ordered before the deadline or you didn’t.
Apparently many people think of a deadline more as a suggestion or a general point in time. Several orders came in clearly after the deadline had passed and some of them have inquired about when they will receive the external list offered to those who can read and follow directions. You’re in luck…this time. I’m going to send you all the external list. If you ordered either the WordPress Blog Online Home Study Course or Artemis Pro before this post was made you should have received the external list, if you haven’t please leave a comment to this post.
Let me be perfectly clear. This will NEVER happen again. Now that the definition of deadline for the purposes of this blog has been spelled out, I can refer back to this post in the future. In plain English, going forward if you miss the deadline, you will not get the special offer…period, end of story. I’m not interested in excuses and/or sob stories. If you want the special offer, order before the deadline. It’s very simple. If you want to be notified as soon as post are made to this blog (some of which are special offers), you can join my announcement list. It’s in the upper right hand corner.
I learned a long time ago that if you let people walk all over you, they will. Don’t expect to “walk all over me.” It’s not going to happen. It’s not that I’m a mean or angry person. I’m generally happy but I’m also stubborn and jealously guard my time. It’s all fun and games until someone starts whining or wasting my time. Time wasters and whiners annoy the he!! out of me. And people who order after the deadline has passed and expect special treatment are both time wasters and whiners.
I sent out the external list to everyone about 30 minutes after the deadline had passed yesterday. I thought it was over and I could move on to other things but orders kept coming in. Now I’m going back to repeat the work I did yesterday. It’s a waste of my time and it’s not fair to those who ordered before the deadline but I’ve decided to make an exception this time only. I trust you understand. And if you don’t, it’s best we part ways now. In any event, I wish you the best of luck.

I ask with great humiliation for the opportunity to share my information with your mailing list and vow not to abuse the privilege you are gracefully offering.
My many thanks, as I was clearly late in my purchase.
[Chuck,
If you missed the deadline, don't fret. It's not a big deal. I don't remember who ordered after the deadline and I don't really care. I don't keep track of stuff like that. I just wanted to be clear that I'm not going to let a few people waste my time.
I'm not sure what you mean about sharing your information with my list. You have a link to your site that anyone can click on and visit if that's what you mean.

I’ve noticed that James schedules a new Post to mark any deadlines. Likely that’s the reason.
I have a ClickBank receipt for ArtemisPro with 4 minutes to spare! In case I didn’t get your list due to email confusion, I paid through PayPal under a different email — check for one beginning with the word “cat” and ending in “cindy” to verify. Thank you!!
[Hi Cynthia,
I sent you the list.
