Happy New Year!
Last night I fell asleep about 8PM…but then I woke up about 9PM and was awake when the clock struck midnight. There were some scattered fireworks here but it was nothing like 2 years ago when I was in a small town near Florence, Italy. It looked and sounded like World War III had just broken out. It was insane…and actually pretty fun to watch.
For the past two months I’ve been in Europe. My cell phone doesn’t ring (of course it doesn’t work here) and I don’t feel like I’ve missed anything. There is no TV here and I haven’t missed it one iota…until today. Of course there is German TV but we don’t get it and I wouldn’t watch it anyway because I wouldn’t understand it.
But today is the big day in college football. There will probably be more than a dozen bowl games broadcast today for all the teams that were chosen to go “bowling” but there won’t be any bowling for me. Oh well, I’ll go for a walk or a bike ride which is probably better for me anyway. Last night I jotted down a list of 26 goals…not New Year’s resolutions. I write down goals almost every day. After my exercise, I might relax or I might just get to work but I would rather be watching college football. What will you be doing?
