"FINALLY!! A No B.S. and Highly Detailed Explanation
of the Usually Smoke and Mirrors World of SEO..."
Here's what Ed Rivis, the
author of "The Ultimate Web Marketing Strategy" had to say
about my recent SEO interview with Fred Black:

FINALLY!! A no B.S. and highly detailed explanation
of the usually smoke and mirrors world of SEO.
"I knew about your and Fred’s and
impressive results in the search engines, so — even
though I’m on a Tim Ferris low information diet — I
started listening to this immediately after download.
(And on a busy day when I _really_ should have been
doing something else! ;)
And…
FINALLY!! A no B.S. and highly detailed explanation of
the usually smoke and mirrors world of SEO.
I’ve listened to, read, and watched loads of stuff about
SEO by so called experts, and I can’t think of a single
one where they actually mentioned they have a current
page 1 top position ranking for a highly competitive
phrase.
Yours and Fred’s rankings are there for everyone to see,
which PROVES you know what you’re talking about and that
this stuff works.
Thanks for making this available."

Dear Friend,
Let's get straight to the point...
Below is a screen shot of the search results on the search term "internet business." You can see there
are 158,000,000 results. That's 158 million and that means
this is an ultra-competitive search term.
The #1 result is Fred Black's
site... pqinternet.com. My blog, cybercashology.com, is ranked #4.
So let's recap. There are 158 million search engine
results for the search term "internet business". Fred & I
have figured out how to get our sites ranked in the top 4.
Yes the rankings fluctuate but Fred & I are consistently in the
top 10 and have stayed there for months. If you need more
proof than that you're in the wrong place.
Recently, I interviewed Fred
on the topic of Search Engine Optimization or SEO. Fred
obviously knows what he's doing based on actual results...and I
achieved my results for this search term (and several other
competitive search terms) by following Fred's advice.
This is 2 hours & 6 minutes
of Fred & I cutting through the crap when it comes to SEO.
We've figured out what's really important to getting top 10
rankings...even for highly competitive search terms. Our
results prove it.
You'll get two mp3 files
(about 1 hour each) so you can listen to the interview immediately.
We're not launching anything. There's no upsell or
cross-sell...just Fred & I revealing all we've done to achieve
first page rankings in the most popular search engine.
Here's some of what we
covered on the call:
-
What is SEO?
-
Why is SEO important?
-
Black Hat SEO vs White
Hat SEO
-
The 3 Major Search
Engines (Google, Yahoo, & MSN)
- algorithms (differences & similarities)
- should I focus on G because it gets the most traffic?
- is it possible for a single site to rank highly for all 3?
- is it worth the effort to create 3 separate sites...one
for each SE?
-
Choosing Keywords
- how many keywords can one site be expected to rank highly
for?
- what's the minimum/maximum number of searches per month to
target?
- what about competition? how much is too much? what is
ideal? (i.e. 1,000 results vs. 1M results)
- is it important to consider how many links other pages
have?
- what tools to use to get this data?
-
What are the main factors
that determine ranking?
- popular buzzwords are on-page & off-page optimization &
keyword density?
- are those the factors to look at or are there others that
we're missing?
-
On-Page Factors
- title tag
- domain name
- meta tags
- keyword density
- h1 tags
- alt tags
-
Off-Page Factors
-
Why are links so
important?
-
Strategies we use to
build links
-
Strategies we DON'T use
to build links
-
The most important factor
in building links (miss this and your rankings will suffer)
-
Link Bleeding & PR
Bleeding: Fact or Fantasy?
-
How fast can you add
links to a new site?
-
Is it risky to use
link-building services?
-
Questions & Answers
a. While improving my rankings on a steady basis invariably
a keyword (usually an important one) will suddenly drop —
what causes me to move backwards? What are the bad things to
avoid that I may be missing? Can I be doing to many good
things at once?
b. Have you found that some blog themes tend to rank better
than others… and if yes, are there any free off-the-shelf
themes that you’ve found to work well?
c. I have a sales site I want to rank highly. How can I get
the site to rank highly and stay there in Google?
d. If you stopped actively building links to this blog via
blog carnivals and the blog tweaks you’ve previously
mentioned, would your 1st page ranking for your targeted
keyword phrase remain on the first page of Google?
e. Is it compulsory to use H1, H2, H3 etc. tags? Or is
Google smart enough to work out font sizes (and, therefore,
assume importance) from the CSS?
f. What are the factors that we simply cannot do ANYTHING
about when vying for top rankings vs. large, established web
sites? In other words, for what factors is the playing field
just not level?
